naieem abdool still remembers when he was 6, sitting in the bathroom on the edge of the bathtub watching his sister swipe streaks of blue eye shadow across her eyelids & his mother roller setting her hair. Then and there, abdool says, he fell in love with the art of beauty.

Since he was 18, naieem abdool has done hair & makeup on many fashion shoots, behind the scenes at fashion shows and worked with many numerous celebrities. Abdool has teamed up to be marketing & product development for the Emmett cooper haircare line. Cooper says: naieem shares the same passion for hair & beauty. Why "naieme" you ask? (pronounced ni-ee-me) abdool explains, "i want it to have a personal connection with the consumer. "naieme" is also a nickname his mother calls him! i also know when a person calls me this, they know me through my collection. my close friends call me by my birth given name "NAIEEM". the collection is available now in select specialty boutiques and on his company's web site at www.naieme.com. abdool says he does not want to mainstream the naieme collection too quickly. he feels his makeup is to be used to declare your individuality, intelligence and independence with style. he says this sets him apart from other niche makeup collections, as there is a story and a face behind the products and not just another happy eager merger beauty line.

abdool has been on the national radar recently with mentions in instyle & w magazine. He's worked on runway shows for such designersas: Carolina Herrera, heathrette, Austin Scarlet, Zang Toi & Gloria Vanderbilt.
